Catalyst Lab Intensive
The Catalyst Lab is a systemic learning journey following two parallel paths:
-
Awareness training (awareness of self, others and context)
-
Systems transformation training (systems thinking, complexity, and awareness-based systems change methodologies)
It is designed for individuals and teams seeking to expand their capacity to initiate and navigate systemic transformation using awareness-based systems changed methodologies.
We explore different aspects of the question:
How do complex systems change?
The concept of living systems includes the complex social and cultural systems that hold our way of life and work in place. What makes it so difficult to catalyse societal-level change even in the face of the enfolding ecological crisis? How do organisations, institutions, and societies change?
The Catalyst Lab supports the participants (Catalysts) in gaining a deeper understanding of the system and topic they are working on. During the process, participants acquire methodological competencies to initiate and drive awareness-based systems change, and up-to-date knowledge about the underlying conditions for transformation.
Objective :

Katalin Hausel
Katalin Hausel was born in Hungary, and spent the last 25 years living in many different places. Over the years, she has gained 3 Masters degrees (in history, in philosophy, and in fine art). After making and teaching art for more than a decade, she turned away from the art world in 2014, and joined the unMonastery, a social experiment in reimagining monastic communities for the 21st century, as a way to connect rural and urban ways of life. Ever since she has been working on various social transformation projects. She has a deep grasp of the processes of complex systemic transformation and the different ways to step into change work.
Katalin has been involved in the Catalyst Lab since its conception and has been leading it since over two years.
